Our 4th Celebration
We had a great time yesterday. We got to my mom’s house around noon and left there around midnight. Here’s the recap.
We arrived around noon and tossed in a premade pizza from Sam’s Club for lunch. Dani came over and played with the boys. She put together Drama King’s tricycle. He’s a little too short for it but we thought Little T would be too tall but he fits fine with a little room so Grandma said she’d get him one, too. Dani and the boys danced in the kid’s play room. Dani’s dad came and retrieved her and we never saw her again. That’s been happening a lot with her. She’s having a rough time and her Dad’s really coming down hard on her. We watched the Monk marathon cause it’s one of my favorite shows. The boys played outside off and on until it was time to start the BBQ for dinner. I tried so hard to make sure everything was set for all day but I overlooked matches to start the BBQ. We had one match and some of the freebie ones that stores used to give you in the olden days. So, we started the fire on a piece of newspaper and then used that to light the BBQ. Robbie and Erica showed up right as we were getting reading to throw the meat on. We finished up making all the food and it was dinner time. We ate and ate and than talked about where to go to see the fireworks. We decided to go to a little area where we thought people would be at but would have fireworks. Robbie and Erica said they couldn’t afford the gas to go drive there so my Mom offered to stay home and we could fit them and Tank in the van with us. They declined and said their tummies hurt and they wanted to go home. So, mom and I packed the boys up in the van. Tim grabbed the number for the place we were gunna head, too. We called and they said they weren’t doing any fireworks this year. We than quickly opted to go the ballpark since they were gunna have a big display. We found a parking lot with a few other people in it. We waited in the car cause we were a tad bit early for the show. The boys had fallen asleep so we figured let them sleep.
