‘LA PORTE – Another toddler in diapers running loose has police in La Porte hard pressed to explain why so many reports have happened.

“Really, I have no idea why this stuff is going on,” said La Porte Police Detective Paul Brettin.

The latest case was 8:30 p.m. Friday when a woman looked outside her residence and noticed an 18-month-old boy. The child wearing shorts over a diaper was walking out in the street in the 1400 block of Scott Street.”

LOCAL: 7 bodies discovered in desert

“U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered seven bodies of suspected illegal immigrants in Arizona’s desert from Friday through Sunday as the scorching summer heat raged on.
Nearly 60 others who were suffering from dehydration or lost were rescued.
Including Monday, temperatures in Southern Arizona have exceeded 105 degrees for nine straight days and exceeded 100 degrees for 10 consecutive days, said Bill Turnerof the National Weather Service. Saturday’s high was 111 degrees and Friday’s 109 degrees.”

“George Carlin, the Grammy-Award winning standup comedian and actor who was hailed for his irreverent social commentary, poignant observations of the absurdities of everyday life and language, and groundbreaking routines like “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television,” died in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday, according to his publicist, Jeff Abraham. He was 71.”

Hubby and I were planning to see him the next time he came to town but, sadly, we will not get that opportunity now.

Revamp of School Area

I reorganized their school area to make it easier to keep up with their activities and to keep track of what they do. First, I setup both art tables for the kids and gathered all their art supplies near the table. Above each table, I put up a paper size magnetic dry erase board for them to use. Next to the art table, I put the kid’s bookcase with all of their books. I gathered most of their toys and organized them into a few different storage areas. We are working at getting their entertainment area in order where their computer, tv and video games will all be located.
