County Fair 2009
We had planned to skip the county fair this year because we had heard that a lot of the normal attractions would not be there. I checked their website a couple nights ago to make our final decision about going or not going only to find out that the normal attractions would actually be there. So, we opted to go and check it out. This year the fair was much slower than past years due to the economy, I would guess. We also went on a day we’ve never gone on before, $1 ride day.

The Boys Make Their First Pizza
While I was rolling out the pizza dough, two little helpers got underfoot so I let them help. They watched Elmo and Emeril make pizza on Elmo’s Magic Cookbook so they already knew the basics. Drama King helped roll out the first pizza and Little T helped roll out the second. I rolled out a third dough into a rectangle cookie sheet to make some cheese bread.

Baking Breads
We picked up a stand mixer before Easter and have been making breads ever since. We’ve made basic white, wheat and sourdough breads but haven’t found the perfect one, yet. We’ll have to keep trying.

Happy Easter
Grandma Deb will come over around 11a for a brunch. The boys will open their Easter baskets. Erica, Tony (boyfriend) and Tank will go to Tony’s parents for brunch and come to us for dinner around 5-6ish. We’ll do an egg hunt after Tank arrives. We invited Rob, his girlfriend and her two kids and told them when Erica will be here so they can decide when they want to come. I doubt they’ll even come or if they do it will only be Rob. And at some point we’ll probably watch Alvin & the Chipmunks Easter, Charlie Brown Easter and other Easter shows.
We’re serving breakfast burritos for brunch. Spinach dip with homemade sourdough bread for snacking. Ham, potato salad, mashed taters, and salad for dinner. We’re sparkling cider with dinner. We’ll also have water, ice tea, coffee and juices for drinks all day.
