Ugh! It’s 8pm and 99* Outside
One of the perks of living in the desert is the nice warm winters with little to no snow. The downfall is the hotter than hot summers that even are hot when the sun goes down. It’s almost enough to make me want to own another home where the summers are much nicer.
Maybe someday.
Our 4th of July Staycation
To celebrate the 4th, Grandma Deb treated us and herself to a staycation. She booked two rooms at a local resort for their Fabulous Fourth of July Weekend. She requested the rooms be close to each other and have a good view of the variety of fireworks that would be going on in the city. We arrived Saturday afternoon and grabbed a quick lunch at the BBQ, hung out at the pool, walked through their wildlife gallery, went out for dinner, and retired to our rooms to watch the fireworks display. We checked out late Sunday evening after sleeping in late, trying out the onsite restaurant, hanging out at the pool, and recovering in our hotel room.
