Product Giveaway
I was browsing around and stumbled onto a product giveaway for a product that really caught my eye on My Charmed Life.
Sleep deprived mom Pamela Gonzalez realized that maybe the reason her two year old got up multiple times each night wasn’t that he enjoyed disturbing everyone’s sleep, but simply that he didn’t know what time it was and when it was okay to get out of bed. This idea led her to develop My Tot Clock.
I put in as many entries as I could do today and plan to tweet about it daily to get more entries. Hopefully, we’ll win the clock and the boys will have a better nights sleep.
Mom finds her baby alone, locked inside daycare
The baby’s mother, Julia Castillo, says she came to pick up her son Monday at the My Special Place Early Learning Center in Johnston, only to find the center locked and no one around. A neighbor heard her yelling and banging on the door and helped her get inside, where she found her baby boy crying in a crib.
I can only imagine what was going through the mother’s mind when she realized the facility was closed. I don’t know how a facility can care for a child all day and then forget that the child was in the building when they close for the day. I hope the facility changes their policies and does a complete check of the building prior to closing up for the night.

Update on Little T’s AAC Evaluation
Little T was diagnosed with Apraxia (speech disorder) around the age of 2 and began speech therapy. Over the last 4 years, we have bounced between speech language pathologists. When he attended public preschool, he received therapy through them as well.
After we settled into a schooling routine, we began researching options for private speech therapy and getting an AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) device which he had been using in the public preschool with great improvement. We hit road block after road block in our journey but Thursday’s appointment has given us hope again.
