Random Ramblings

random ramblingsI constantly find that I have just a few random thoughts that I’d like to share but they don’t really go well together so thus a random ramblings post is born. Here are some random thoughts I’ve had lately…

I love meeting new bloggers so I decided to join Monday Minglings.

I am reading The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury simply because I heard the book mentioned twice on the TV show Criminal Minds. I already was reading another book (Something Wicked This Way Comes) by Ray Bradbury and The Illustrated Man sounded fantastic.

Drama King lost his second tooth. It’s the bottom one, right next to the one he lost a week or so ago. He’s growing up way too fast.

We’re having my favorite foods for dinner: Steak and corn on the cob. Would be better if we had baked potatoes to go with it but we didn’t pick any up so we’ll be serving it up with rice. Tomorrow’s another grill day for dinner as we’re doing burgers and fried zucchini.

Why do Frosted Flakes have to cost so much when I am craving eating cereal like a kid?

Little T received a $20 Wal-Mart gift card for his birthday and he has already spent it. Last night, we stood in the toy section for over 30 minutes while Little T looked at every single wrestling action figure before settling on the two he was going to buy; Goldust and Evan Bourne.

While thinking of Wal-Mart – Why do they put items in their clearance section when they are not marked down or even on sale? I was so, I mean VERY, excited because there was about 6 of the same Leapster game on a hanger marked $2 and I had a $5 off coupon so the item would have been free. The had a variety of LeapPad items with clearance stickers so I thought what a great find. I picked up two of the games and took out the coupons. As skeptical as hubby and I are with clearance items, we used a price scanner to assure it would ring up correctly at the register and guess what? Yep, you guess it. It was not marked down. In fact, it was more expensive than the other games I’ve bought in the past. So again, I have to say I’m not inclined to return anytime soon. I think I’ll stick to shopping at Target.

I’ve seen a few others who have random trains of thought so I figured I’d try one out. It was fun just letting my hands type without having to think ahead.

Oh you are so smart to scan the items to see how they were priced in the system. Great catch! I do love how our sons have to check out all of the options when they have birthday money to spend. Did your son sleep with his action figures?

Thanks so much for linking up to Mingle Monday.
