Random Ramblings
I know I’ve been away from the blog the last week or so. I’ve had a lot going on around the house. I’ve been sorting through the boys clothes and separating what fits the boys into 3 piles, what will fit Little T in the future, what will fit Drama King in the future, and what doesn’t fit either of them anymore. I have about three huge boxes of clothes to put out at the yard sale. Whatever doesn’t sell, we’ll donate to a friend in need. Tim and I also helped Grandma Cindy go through portions of the garage and will continue to do that each weekend until we’ve sorted the entire garage. We’re putting things into three piles, our stuff to move, their stuff to move, and stuff for the yard sale.
Another thing taking up my time is designing, web and print items. I designed a cute photo for the photo frames we’ll be sending out this winter. I’ve also been working on our annual family newsletter and trying to design some universal reusable yard signs. I just don’t have any ideas but it’s bouncing around my head so I’ll come up with something soon.
A few years ago I thought it would be an interesting feet if I could locate my half sister whom I have never met. When I set out, I never actually expected to find enough information to locate her but I did. I found an article about the untimely death of her mother. The article provided some information about relatives that might have taken her into their home. So my quest began simply with a name and ended with a reconnection of sisters.
I’m also working on the final pieces of our new blog design. I want to keep a purple primary color but need to figure out some other colors that fit perfectly. I’ve been tweaking the background color on this theme trying to find a nice light purple but haven’t quite gotten the right shade yet but I will.
BrytonPick – How Often Do You Floss?
Flossing is one of those horrible things that dentist tell us to do because it’s a torturous activity, right? Of course we all know that it really is good for us but does it have to be such a pain in the butt mouth? Well not anymore because BrytonPick offers the perfect alternative to floss.

My teeth are not perfect which means flossing is a chore that I have usually opt to skip. The BrytonPick has me flossing more although it’s only a select few of my teeth. My teeth are extremely tight and in one place they actually overlap. That has always made flossing hard for me which is why I opt to skip it. Although on my teeth that are spaced not so tight, the BrytonPick is fantastic which means I am actually flossing now. I love the portability and convenience of using the floss alternative. I have it sitting on my desk and have used it quite frequently over the last few weeks.
BrytonPick is available at online at BrytonPick and in select Walgreens locations and select convenience stores. It will also be available at Pathmark Stores, drugstore.com, SUPERVALU, CVS, Meijer, Amazon.com, Winn-Dixie, Publix, 7-11, and Race Trac.
Keeping Our Kids Safe
When I was accepted for Blogmania, I wasn’t sure what theme I was going to use but after acquiring my first sponsor, I knew it would revolve around child safety. I started looking around for child safety items and stumbled across a fantastic company, SecuraTrac, which offers SecuraPAL – gps tracking for kids, pets and the elderly.

SecuraPal is a small GPS tracking device that reports it’s location to SecuraTrac. It’s a fantastic amber alert tool. You can find out exactly where the device is and even set boundaries and notifications to let you know when the device wanders where it’s not supposed to go. You simply put the device in your child’s pocket, attach it to your pet’s collar, or even give it to any elderly family member. There is an SOS button which will notify you upon being pushed. Imagine how easily you could locate your child in the event he or she went missing. You could skip the typical amber alert tools because you know exactly where the device is at all times.
Using your phone or computer, you can check in with the gps tracking for kids. You can see where the device is right now and where the device has been in the past. A fantastic tool for child safety and additional amber alert tool.

The greatest thing about the device is that you don’t have to make an elaborate purchase because they rent them for a reasonable price of $9.99 a day with a $19.99 setup fee. Perfect for those summer vacations when you’ll be out enjoying life.

And of course, you can purchase the device for as low as $129.99 with a 24 month commitment. The monthly fee after purchasing the device runs as low as $19.99. The fees are slightly cheaper than a cell phone and you don’t have to worry about your young child having all those cell phone features they don’t need.
