Web Design
I love web design. Well, as long as I am designing for someone else. I am harsh on my own design. I can never come up with a concept for my own blog but can come up with tons of ideas for other people.
Enter the concept of WordPress child themes. I use someone else’s WordPress theme and modify it to meet my color scheme. I’ve been wanting to change up the site as it’s getting quite crowded down the left side of the page.
Enter our new theme…Well theme of the moment. I am working on a WP3 layout and hopefully will have that up and running before BlogMania.

Adding Affiliates
As you may have noticed, I have picked up a few affiliates (top and sidebar) but wanted to discuss them before you think I’ve ‘sold out to making money only’. I haven’t. You will see the same ol’ content as you have always seen. I am joining some programs where I can pick up a few cents or dollars here and there. I do not plan on turning blogging into a money maker so I will always be very picky on who’s affiliate programs I join and which ones you see on the site.
Most of the ones I have currently are products we own, use or think is something you might be interested in looking at. If you ever have any questions about the banner we display, please contact us.
Now with that in mind, I have added some brand new affiliates just in the last few days. I am working at adding their banners to the rotation so you’ll start seeing them soon. I am also working on a blog makeover and would LOVE to have a huge giveaway for our relaunching. So while you may not see a lot of content being generated in the following weeks, believe me when I say there is A LOT going on behind the scenes. Plus we’re doing swim lessons again for Little T and I am taking Drama King to the pool to teach him to swim as well.

My Very First Award
I was shocked when I got a message on Twitter from Shannon over at Mom State of Mind telling me that she had something for me on her blog. Imagine my surprise when I checked her site and saw she had won the Sunshine Award and subsequently nominated our site to carry on the award.

Photo Album Relaunched
After some careful consideration, I have relaunched the photo album. The user database was purged so if you had a login in the past, it has been removed. You will need to register for a new login. All registrations must be approved by an admin to prevent unwanted people from viewing our family photos.

Conversion Complete
I’ve converted from the old news script to a WordPress script. So far, I am much happier with the new script. I have created our own theme based on a classic layout. I’ve thought about a complete redo on the site but haven’t really thought how I could make it any better.
