Menu Plan Monday

Last week, we didn’t plan for meals and boy was it chaotic around meal times. We’re back to planning this week and we’ve done a great job planning. I think starting next week, I’ll start posting recipes of some of our family favorite meals so you can try them out, too. Some you may have seen already on here but I’ll be tagging them for easier access. This will also force me to gather up or write down some of the ones that Grandma Cindy makes that are family recipes but not really written down anywhere.

Monday
L: Sandwich with chips
D: French dip with fried zucchini

Tuesday
L: Chicken salad with garlic bread
D: Chili cheese dogs with chili cheese fries

Wednesday
L: Polish dogs with fries
D: Pizza (Family Favorite)

Thursday
L: Sandwich with dipping veggies
D: Chicken tacos with refried beans

Friday
L: Chicken with fries
D: Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes and corn (Family Favorite)

Saturday
L: Figure It Out Meal (leftovers, grab a bite to eat out, take out, whatever is in the fridge meal)
D: Chicken Alfredo with garlic bread (Family Favorite)

Sunday
L: Figure It Out Meal (leftovers, grab a bite to eat out, take out, whatever is in the fridge meal)

Menu Plan Monday
Round two might be a little harder as Tim and I have come down with a terrible cold so we’re not quite ourselves today. Now, I sit here with a blank menu planner in front of me and no idea what to put on it. It didn’t take long to fill up the menu with some of our favorites. I’m working on making our meals better balanced but with a lot of non-veggie lovers, it’s harder than I thought.

Without further ado, here’s our menu:

Monday
L: Chicken salad with garlic bread
D: Chili cheese dogs with chili cheese fries

Tuesday
L: Chicken strips with ranch fries and corn
D: Lasagna with homemade sourdough bread

Wednesday
L: Chicken sandwich with chips
D: Indian tacos (chili meat on fry bread topped with cheese, tomatoes, and sour cream)

Thursday
L: Polish dogs with chips
D: Pizza on homemade pizza dough

Friday
L: Super nachos

And that’s where the planning died. I’d like to have our Hawaiian meal for Mother’s day but not sure if we’ll get a chance to grab some banana leaves before Sunday. Oh if you were keeping track, that’s one more meal planned this week compared to last week. Maybe, we’ll get a full week planned before the month is over. Maybe not. It is a big birthday month around here.

Menu Plan Monday

We’ve been planning our meals (only lunch and dinners) in advance for a few weeks so when I stumbled across Menu Plan Monday, you can imagine my surprise. Somehow, this might be the motivation I need to maintain creating our weekly menu. Little T absolutely loves have his meals planned out in advance and has even caused him to get involved a few times by requesting certain meals on certain days. Without further ado, here is our menu for this week.

Monday
L: Sandwich and chips
D: Orange chicken, lumpia, and pot stickers

Tuesday
L: Super Nachos
D: Lasagna and homemade sourdough bread

Wednesday
L: Leftovers
D: Beef Tacos w/ beans

Thursday
L: Sandwich and soup
D: Garlic cheese chicken, stuffing, some potato dish, and some vegetable

Friday – Sunday hasn’t been planned because it’s a shopping weekend.

Manic Monday

Manic Monday provides three random questions each week. Since this weeks questions are not up as of now, I’m answering last weeks questions.

Were you considered popular in high school? Why or why not?

I always find this question hard to answer. I was friends with lots of people from über popular to less than über popular. I hung out with the drama kids, the delinquents, the kids that lived nearby, the girly girls, the tom boys, and everyone in between. A lot of people knew who I was even if I didn’t know them. I was active in a variety of after school activities from DECA to SADD to drama to student council. Although, I never thought of myself as popular, one might say I was.

How old are you in your dreams?

Depends on the dream. Sometimes I relive something that happened in the past so I was whatever age I was at the time of the incident. Sometimes, I don’t really see myself so I don’t really have an age.

Did you ever run away from home? Why or why not?

I never ran away. I’ve heard that I threatened to run away when I was very little but never actually went through with it. I knew that I had a pretty good life so there was no point in running away.
